Meet Our Founder
TudungPeople was founded by Fazrena Aziz (Fazrena Azleen), our Founder & CEO, known to our community as Boss Kitty. She started the brand in 2011 as a final-year architecture student at the International Islamic University Malaysia, after struggling to find a hijab that was comfortable, gave enough coverage and suited different body types.
What began as a hobby, packing orders from her parents' attic in Penang, grew into one of Malaysia's best-known hijab brands. In her words, TudungPeople is "by the people who wear tudung, for the people who wear tudung."

Official Hijab Partner of Malaysia Aviation Group
TudungPeople designed the hijab for Malaysia Aviation Group's new ground staff uniform, launched in January 2024. It is worn by hijab-wearing frontliners at AeroDarat Services, MAG's ground-handling arm. The hijab is a semi-instant style in opaque chiffon crepe, colour-matched to MAG's new blue and embroidered with the airline's signature wau, giving every staff member the same structured look. MAG's creative team designed the three-piece uniform around it.
Fazrena described the brief as a mission "to craft a chic, Malaysian-inspired look that's sleek, friendly, and comfortable for those extended shifts." The two first worked together on MAG's Raya packets, which TudungPeople also designed.
Official Partner of the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon
TudungPeople has been an official partner of the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon since 2019, and we are proud to be an official partner again for KLSCM 2026.
Our Performance Series, from Najwa Sport to dryfit tops and packable parkas, is made for that kind of movement. As Fazrena told The Star, "Women cover for all kinds of reasons – faith is one, but so is sun protection, body confidence, comfort or simply personal preference."
